Job Summary
The Red Hat Engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer to drive the direction, design, and implementation of our industry-leading technology. In this role, you will work with some of the brightest engineers in the open source community to create innovative solutions for the next generation. You'll join the globally distributed Red Hat Enterprise Linux Virtualization team to develop and maintain Kernel Virtual Machines (KVM), a core technology of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Primary Job Responsibilities
Develop new Kernel Virtual Machine (KVM) features
Optimize and maintain KVM and code; QEMU is an open source machine emulator and virtualizer
Focus on KVM networking and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)
Required Skills
Proven C programming expertise
Experience with low-level networking or virtualization is an advantage
Experience contributing to open source projects is an advantage
Familiarity with X86 architecture and ARM64 is a plus
Ability to work independently
Good communication skills
